Do I have to take the MVD road test?

No. If you complete a qualifying DVDS package, you take your final road test with us and receive a Road Test Waiver. No MVD road test is required.

Do you offer free pickup and drop-off?

Yes. Free pickup and drop-off are included from your home, school, or work anywhere in our covered Arizona service areas.

Do I need insurance before starting lessons?

No. Students are covered under Deer Valley Driving School's commercial insurance policy. You do not need personal auto insurance to start.

How much do driving lessons cost?

Packages start at $250 for a single lesson. The License-Ready Package is $749 for 10 hours, and the Ultimate Package is $1,349 for 20 hours. Payment plan options are available at the end of checkout before payment is confirmed.

How long does it take to get a license in Arizona?

Arizona permit holders must hold a learner's permit for 6 months. You can complete lessons and your waiver road test before that period ends, then get licensed once you become eligible.

Are your instructors certified?

Yes. Deer Valley Driving School instructors are MVD-certified and ADOT-certified with behind-the-wheel teaching experience.

Can parents ride along during lessons?

No. Lessons are one-on-one so the instructor can keep coaching clear, focused, and low-stress for the student.

How does rescheduling work?

Rescheduling with at least 48 hours notice is free. Rescheduling inside 48 hours may require a $75 fee.

Do you offer adult driving lessons?

Yes. Adult students can book private lessons for confidence building, freeway driving, parking, and road test preparation.

Can I use ESA funds for lessons?

Many Arizona families use ESA funds for eligible educational driving instruction. Contact us for the current documentation steps before booking.
